The 1050 horsepower FXX K, a privilege for the few

Scarperia, 20 Oct – It is already a great honour to own a Ferrari, but there are some Ferraris that really are a privilege for the few. Among them are the cars of the three XX Programmes dedicated exclusively to Ferrari’s most loyal customers.

The latest of these is the FXX K, which saw the light at the 2014 World Finals and for which the undulations of Mugello will be grist to the mill, attracting the eyes, ears and hearts of the fans. Its extraordinary power, 1,050 HP, 860 from the V12 thermal engine and 190 from the hybrid system derived from Formula 1, its roar and its spectacular lines once again make this car the undisputed queen of the event.

Besides the FXX K there will be the other two XX Programmes models. The first, the FXX from 2005, has an important place in Ferrari history because it put into practice the idea of producing a limited edition GT car exclusively for the track and entrusting it to a select group of customers. These people become testers for the “Prancing Horse” helping to provide its engineers with information that will be used to build the Ferraris of the future.
The 599XX is the star of the second XX adventure. This car is a 700-horse power concentrate of technology equipped with very sophisticated systems such as the fans that, sucking the air from the faired bottom of the vehicle and expelling it from two rear pipes, make it stick to the asphalt, creating a perfect ground effect.
