Scarperia, 20 October – Motorsport fans at the World Championship Finals at Mugello in Tuscany can look forward to a spectacular show by Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 and its drivers on Sunday 8 November.
Scuderia Ferrari has played a leading role in motorsport’s top category since the championship was founded in 1950. The Scuderia has competed in 904 Grands Prix, winning 224 of them, along with 16 constructors’ titles and 15 drivers’ championships, a haul that makes it the most successful team in the history of the sport.
However, it would be rather limited to see Ferrari’s importance in Formula 1 solely in terms of numbers. The Scuderia is, in effect, the greatest ambassador for the category, also helping raise awareness of Formula 1 in countries that are never venues for the races. Indeed, each year the Maranello team performs several street demos, which bring the single-seater much closer to the people than any track event can.
The Scuderia’s cars are also expected to put on show at Mugello, with thrilling tyre changes, lightning accelerations and spectacular pit stop tests by the team’s phenomenal mechanics, which will thrill the public in the stands of this Ferrari owned circuit whose undulations provide an extraordinary setting for drivers and fans. Driving the cars will be 2015’s drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel, for the first time at the Finali Mondiali.
